Ann Welch is artist and painter splitting her time between her home in Kent and Lesvos in Greece. We have been working together to photograph her collection of paintings for her website and print marketing.
Ann Welch, born in Manchester, has been resident on the island of Lesvos for over 35 years so it is natural that the beauty of the land and its people are her main subjects. One critic of the show ‘ British Artists Paint Lesvos ‘ for which she was guest curator and participant at the Teriade in Varia some years ago mentioned that she had an ‘erotic’ relationship with the island’s landscape, something that she doesn’t deny: it is an ongoing affair.
